Join Our Research Family

We are offering internships at MIRAI.

Our lab welcomes motivated undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about artificial intelligence, machine learning, and their applications in medicine and healthcare. As an intern, you will work alongside our faculty, researchers, and PhD students on real, high-impact projects that shape the future of AI in clinical practice.

Hands-on Research

Contribute to ongoing studies in medical AI — from data curation and model development to clinical validation and scientific writing.

Mentorship

Receive personal guidance from faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and senior students throughout your internship journey.

Publish & Present

Outstanding interns have the opportunity to co-author peer-reviewed papers and present results at international conferences and workshops.

Who Can Apply

  • Undergraduate or graduate students in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • A cumulative GPA above 2.8 (on a 4.0 scale) is required.
  • Solid programming skills (Python preferred) and familiarity with machine learning or deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Strong curiosity about medical and healthcare applications of AI, and a willingness to learn across disciplines.
  • Ability to commit at least 8–12 hours per week for a minimum of three months (remote and on-site options available).

  1. Prepare your up-to-date CV together with a short statement of interest (half a page is enough) describing the research topics that excite you.
  2. Attach a transcript of records and, if available, links to GitHub repositories, publications, or course projects relevant to AI or healthcare.

  4. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a brief online interview with a faculty member or a senior researcher.
